Today, September 7, 2021, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, Davao City Jail- Male Dormitory searchers intercepted suspected contraband during paabot of food brought by a certain visitor. It was noticed that a full-sized Siling Labuyo found as an ingredient in the food was tampered with. After a thorough inspection, twenty-five (25) elongated and ten (10) rectangular sachets of white crystalline substance suspected as Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, or commonly known as shabu, were found inside several chilies.
The suspectedshabuweighed around 16 grams in total and has an estimated street value of Php 256,000.00. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, PNP Personnel, Barangay Official of Ma-a, and several media personalities were immediately called and informed about the incident for proper verification, tagging, and turnover of custody of the suspected contraband. The said visitor identified as RICHARD M CAYBOT, 40 years old, and a resident of Calinan, Davao City; was turned over to the Talomo Police Station for proper disposition.

All individuals that will be caught trying to sneak any contraband inside the jail facility will be dealt with the full extent of the law.
